Liverpool have reportedly made contact with former Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti, adding fuel to speculation that Brendan Rodgers may be on his way.
It has been a disappointing season so far for Rodgers and Liverpool, the club sitting in 13th position.
But some poor results, including a 3-1 loss to Manchester United, show Reds fans are losing patience with the Northern Irishman.
Liverpool have no win in four games, and some fans have even set up a fund to raise money to hasten Rodgers’ departure.
CalcioMercatoWeb report that the Ancelotti has been approached by the Reds to discuss the possibility of taking charge.
Ancelotti has a wealth of experience and success with some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Real Madrid and AC Milan.
He also guided Chelsea to the Premier League title in 2009-10.
