Manchester United and Chelsea are monitoring the progress of AIK Solna striker Alexander Isak, according to reports.

Swedish newspaper Expressen claim 90 scouts were in attendance for AIK’s game against IFK Goteborg yesterday to watch the teenager.

Among these were representatives from the two Premier League clubs, along with German duo Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

These clubs may also be joined by Real Madrid, who are also keen on the 19-year-old Swedish Under-21 international. They have also witnessed the starlet in action, against Elfsborg last month.

Isak has been dubbed by teammate Chinebu Obasi as ‘Sweden’s next Zlatan Ibrahimovic’.

He has made twenty-one appearances for AIK, and has found the net nine times.

Isak has also been working his way up the ranks at international level, representing Sweden at Under-17, Under-19 and Under-21 level, at which he has just made his first appearance.

Chelsea beat United 4-0 over the weekend, and will hope to get one over on their rivals once again in the race for this young prospect’s signature.
