The Serie A side are tipped as genuine suitors for Jese Rodriguez

Premier League sides Arsenal and Chelsea will have to act fast in the January transfer window, if they are not to miss out on Jese Rodriguez to Inter Milan.

It is understood the Serie A side have a genuine interest in the Real Madrid forward, who has fell out of favour at the Santiago Bernabeu under new boss Rafael Benitez.

Jese, though, who scored in Real’s 3-1 league victory over Las Palmas at the weekend, is still wanted according to Benitez.

“I’m very happy with the work he is putting in,” Benitez said after their 1-0 win over PSG in the Champions League, which secures their place in the knock out stages.

“He even scored a goal in the last league match, so I won’t talk about the transfer market.”

Jese wants out

It is understood Jese would prefer to leave Real and move to a club where he can start more matches, having started just six games all season.

Inter are keen on a loan move for the 22-year-old, while Arsenal are looking at a loan with a view to a permanent deal. Meanwhile, Chelsea are looking to bolster their attacking options, as they languish in 15th in the Premier League.
