One of the stars of Leicester City’s magnificent Premier League squad has admitted that his future may lie elsewhere.

Riyad Mahrez has been linked with a move to Arsenal, as the Foxes face a fight to keep hold of their stars. They are starting their preparations for the defence of their title, as well as embarking on their first-ever Champions League campaign.

The 25-year-old Algerian insists he is happy at the King Power Stadium, but has not ruled out the possibility of a move.

Mahrez said: “The season went very well,” Mahrez said. “We have won the league which was very important. It is incredible. It was by far my best season in my career.

“I am not putting pressure on myself (for next season). It will be a season about confirming (my ability). Without pressure, I will have to work hard… Leicester is a family club. I would like to stay. I am very happy.”

Manchester United and Barcelona are also reportedly keen on Mahrez, who won the PFA Player of the Year award for his exploits.

He added: “It is flattering to hear.

“As I said, nothing is agreed, nothing is done. We will see. For the moment I have not made a decision. We will see. It is possible that I stay, it is possible that I leave. We will see.”
