Former Swansea City and Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is tipped to become the latest European name to head to China, according to reports.

Clubs in the Chinese Super League have raided Europe’s leagues in recent weeks, and some big stars have fancied a new start in the Far East.

And Rodgers is being tipped to follow the trend, claim Mirror Sport.

He was linked with the job at Beijing Guoan last month, before they eventually went for Alberto Zaccheroni.

Newcastle United are also monitoring the situation, as pressure on Steve McClaren mounts.

But Rodgers may well be tempted by the big money in the Far East, and a fresh challenge.

Another name linked with a move to China is Manchester United and England striker Wayne Rooney.

Rooney, however, is thought to not be keen on a move, as United woes under Louis van Gaal continue.
