The Croatian only joined the Serie A outfit permanently this summer

Arsenal and Liverpool are both reportedly interested in Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, who was only brought to the club on a permanent basis this summer.

The 23-year-old spent last season on loan at the San Siro, making 35 appearances for the club last season, but it is understood that the club are willing to offload the player in order to fund a move for Zenit St Petersburg’s Axel Witsel.

Neither of the Premier League side’s have made an offer for the midfielder, who featured at Euro 2016 with Croatia this summer, as of yet. But it seems that Liverpool are the most likely of the two clubs to make a move.

Granit Xhaka joined Arsenal from Borussia Monchengladbach earlier this summer, meaning the club would have to offload some of their midfield players in order to find space for Brozovic in their team.

While Jurgen Klopp has brought in Joel Matip, Loris Karius and Sadio Mane, the Reds boss could easily accommodate the Croatian.

Atletico Madrid have also expressed an interest in the player who is understood to be valued at ÂŁ21 million.
