Liverpool are preparing a £20m move for Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland, according to reports.

Reds manager Jurgen Klopp is rumoured to be in the market for a replacement for out-of-form Simon Mignolet.

It is rumoured that Klopp may wait until the summer to make a move for Butland, who has stepped up as Stoke’s number one after the departure of Asmir Begovic to Chelsea.

Butland’s good form between the sticks earned him his third England cap against France earlier this month.

And his good form has attracted the interest of Klopp, according to The Sun.

Klopp is thought to possibly give Mignolet to the end of the season, rather than make a move for Butland in January when the transfer window opens.

Butland has kept five clean sheets in the Premier League this season, compared to four for Mignolet.
