Watford’s move for Jerome Sinclair denied by Liverpool

Watford have seen any hopes of signing Jerome Sinclair disappear after Liverpool blocked their attempt to sign him.

The Hornets have been keen on Sinclair for some time, and Sinclair wanted a move so bad that he pulled out of Liverpool’s Under-21 game with Reading today.

He didn’t want to get injured ahead of a possible deadline day move, but it appears that he is going nowhere, at least not until the summer.

Spanish side Espanyol are also in the frame for starlet Sinclair.

He is rated at ÂŁ5m, and talks over a new contract have broken down.

His current deal expires in the summer, and Liverpool risk losing him for nothing, with the possibility that if he goes abroad, he may well come back to haunt them in the future.

And by denying a deadline day move, the risk of upsetting the player could be a problem too.
