The youngster has plenty of potential

According to Sky Sports News HQ, Manchester City have made an official approach to West Ham United for the versatile Reece Oxford.

The 17-year old made his Premier League debut at the age of 16 when he started West Ham’s opening fixture of last season at Arsenal.

Pep Guardiola’s scouts have been watching Oxford regularly at the Under 19 European Championships and the Spaniard wants to bring the teenager to the Etihad Stadium.

Oxford has two years left on his current contract at the Hammers, making it unclear what price the East London side value him it.

The starlet can play as a right-back, a centre-back or holding midfielder.
