The Spanish goalkeeper will be staying at Old Trafford for the foreseeable future
David de Gea will remain a Manchester United player after Real Madrid confirmed they will not be appealing the collapsed move.
The two clubs had a agreed a deal yesterday but the documents to finalise the move did not arrive before the Spanish transfer deadline closed.
This result also means that Costa Rican keeper Keylor Navas will remain at the Bernabeu having looked set to go the opposite direction.
