Burnley defender Michael Keane has reflected on his time at Manchester United, and he looks back with a sense of disappointment.

Keane made only five first-team appearances for the Red Devils, including just one league appearance. This was against Sunderland in 2014, coming on as a substitute for Chris Smalling.

He was shipped on loan to various clubs during his United career, turning out for Derby County, Leicester, Blackburn Rovers before coming to Turf Moor.

He moved to Burnley last year, and he has been linked with Leicester City and Chelsea recently.

“When I was at United I was disappointed not to get too many chances or many games but coming here was the best decision I ever made,” he told The Guardian.

“I have grown as a player and playing week-in week-out helps you improve so much.

“And playing in the Premier League helps you become even more comfortable.”

Keane joined Burnley in September 2014, originally on loan, before making the move permanent a few months later.
