The Brazilian rejected lucrative offers during the off season

Neymar confirmed his commitment to Barcelona this summer by rejecting the chance to join both Manchester clubs, as well as Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.

Speculation circled during the off season about the Brazilian’s future at the Camp Nou; having formed a lethal partnership with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, dubbed the ‘MSN’. But despite Europe’s top clubs being ready to go out their way to sign him, the forward showed no interest.

Incredibly, the European heavyweights were all prepared to pay Neymar’s ÂŁ170 million release clause, while Real Madrid were ready to offer the Barcelona star a €72 million bonus, with €32 million being handed over upfront, while the rest would be paid over the course of his contract.

Meanwhile, Manchester United and PSG were willing to offer an €80 million bonus, with €40 million of that sum coming up front. But Manchester City were prepared to meet whatever demands Neymar had; insisting money wouldn’t be an object.

Bizarrely, both City and Real were ready to meet terms with Neymar’s father, also, while United were ready to offer an expensive house and better other offers laid out in front of him. But PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, oddly, wanted to offer 30% of shares on a hotel he planned to build in his name.

But despite the incredible sums of money that were available to Neymar, he chose to remain loyal to the club that bought him from Santos, in his homeland of Brazil, back in 2013, to become one of the best forward’s in the world.
