Yarmolenko’s Dynamo Kiev future in the hands of the club’s president

Dynamo Kiev boss Serhiy Rebrov has stated that striker Andriy Yarmolenko’s future is in the hands of their president, Ihor Surkis.

The Ukranian outfit agreed a new five-year deal with the 26-year-old last month, which will keep him at the club until 2020, but the striker admits he is keen on a move to a big European club.

London outfits Arsenal and Chelsea are thought to be two of the main contenders for the Ukranian’s signature, while the player’s agent also held talks with Everton boss Roberto Martinez.

Striker’s future out of Dynamo’s control

Rebrov has admitted he hopes to keep their star striker at the club, but conceded it will be difficult to keep ahold of the player, who has been at the club since 2007, with the lure of two big Premier League clubs.

“He’s a very high level footballer but we do not build our game around him,” Rebrov said.

“I can see his progress and that other teams are interested in him but it all depends on his relationship with the president.

“If you are asking me then I don’t want to sell the player, I want to keep him in the team.

“But, at the end of the day, it’s all about the relationship with the president.”

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has been annoyed by the Blues’ lack of goals this season and are already out of the title race, with the club 14 points short of league leaders Manchester City, in 15th.

Meanwhile, Arsenal could make a move for the ÂŁ15 million-rated Dynamo man in January, having not signed an outfield player during the summer transfer window.
