The final fixture of this weekend’s Premier League was a trip for Everton to the midlands, up against West Brom.

Everton were going into the game flying high, knowing the opportunity was there to jump to 5th with a win, and having beaten Chelsea and dominated a 0-0 draw with Swansea in the last two games.4

The Baggies on the other hand have had more mixed form, losing to Norwich in the Capital One Cup last week, they needed a win to boost their confidence again.

What started as a boring game progressed into something far more exciting, and it was all started by Saido Berahino getting a goal four minutes before half time, and then Craig Dawson adding a second 16 minutes after the interval.

West Brom were in full control, however, Everton striker Romelu Lukaku triggered a comeback by pulling a goal back 21 seconds after West Brom going 2-0 up. And 20 minutes later, substitute Arouna Kone levelled it for the Blues.

Lukaku sealed a win for Everton at 84 minutes from close range to stun his former club and ensure all 3 points were taken back to Merseyside.

West Brom are 15th in the table while the Toffees move to fifth in what represents a substantial confidence boost ahead of Sunday’s Merseyside derby against Liverpool.
