The England international missed and scored from the spot in the late stages as Tottenham and Liverpool shared the spoils in a thrilling 2-2 draw at Anfield.

Harry Kane’s 100th Premier League goal earned Tottenham a 2-2 draw vs Liverpool to snatch a point from the spot in a hugely dramatic match at Anfield.

Liverpool were leading 1-0 with 12 minutes left after Mohamed Salah’s opener but Victor Wanyama rocket helped Spurs level before Kane won a penalty on 89 minutes. However, the England international spurned the opportunity and Salah sensationally put Liverpool in front in injury time with a wonderful solo effort.

But that wasn’t the end of the game as referee Jon Moss pointed to the spot again when Liverpool’s new record signing Virgil van Dijk challenged Erik Lamela in the penalty box and Harry Kane stepped up to send Karius the wrong way and become the player to reach 100 Premier League goals in the second-shortest time as Spurs levelled things up to give a thrilling contest a dramatic finish.

Mo Salah started off with an early goal coming inside 3 minutes to give the home side the lead. The Reds looked defensively sound for most of the game. Loris Karius had a brilliant game despite of being in the receiving end of all the late drama.

The drama came at the very end, with three goals and a missed penalty all coming in the final 10 minutes of the clash.

This result means Liverpool stay in third, two points clear of Spurs, one point clear of Chelsea and 5 points behind Manchester United with the race for Champions League qualification heating up over the second half of the campaign.
