Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic is on Manchester United’s radar for summer’s transfer window alongside Arturo Vidal.

Real Madrid midfielder has been linked with United after finding regular starts difficult to come by at the Bernabeu.

Real Madrid still think the player has a great future ahead of him and wouldn’t like to sell the player for any price, but a good offer from the Red Devils could actually change the board’s mind now that they signed Dani Ceballos last summer. United have reportedly received a boost in the David De Gea transfer saga. The goalkeeper has been repeatedly linked with a move to the La Liga giants, but United are currently trying to get a long-term contract agreed.

Kovacic isn’t enjoying as many playing opportunities as some expected after his brilliant performances last season, although it’s also true that he spent the first third of the campaign injured.

The Croatian is only 23 years old and has plenty of room for improvement, especially when it comes to his understanding of the game. Real Madrid paid around €35 million for Kovacic two years ago and it’s clear that he would be more expensive than that now. Especially after the recent transfer record sales of Coutinho and Pogba.

If United really want to see Kovacic in the famous Red shirt they will have to send a big offer to convince the Los Blancos to sell.
