Barcelona’s sporting director Robert Fernandez has revealed it is a “real possibility” that they could sign Celta Vigo attacker Nolito.
The Spaniard, who is a former Barca-B player, has enjoyed an outstanding campaign thus far, scoring seven goals in 11 La Liga appearances.
And his performances have seen him linked with a return to the Camp Nou with Arsenal- who have several injuries to attacking players currently- also interested in the attacker.
Last month, the 29-year-old insisted he will be staying at Celta, at least till the end of the season saying:
“God will decide my future.
“I’m not leaving in January. I’m happy in Vigo.”
But when Barcelona come knocking, they usually get their man. Fernandez has suggested Barca will make a push for Nolito once their transfer embargo ends in the new year.
He told radio station RAC1:
“It’s a real possibility.
“He’s a good player, he’s in a rich vein of form and he’s playing for Spain, which is always an instructive factor.
“We know all about his situation, but there are lots of other options. We have a long hit list.”
