PSG change course on manager decision- good news for Chelsea

PSG have reportedly cooled their interest in signing Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte and are targeting Massimiliano Allegri.

PSG will sack their manager Unai Emery if he doesn’t win the Champions League and have had Antonio Conte on the top of their wishlist in recent months.

But Gazzetta dello Sport report that PSG have now made Juventus boss Allegri as their number one target.

Allegri remains under contract at Juve until 2020 so PSG will have to pay up which will most likely not be a problem given the huge funds that have been made available to them.

The Juventus boss has had run-ins with key squad players during his tenure at Juve and sold Leonardo Bonucci to rivals AC Milan.

Allegri could be open to taking on a new challenge at PSG, particularly with the money that he’ll be afforded to sign players with.

Juventus are currently third in the Serie A and are two points behind league leaders Inter Milan.

While PSG are comfortably first in the Ligue One and are nine points ahead of second-placed Lille so it would be harsh to sack Emery if he doesn’t deliver on the Champions League while winning the French league title.

The former Sevilla boss has had a headache in recent months trying to get world record signing Neymar and Edison Cavani to get along but on the pitch they’re doing the job.
