Manchester United to offer Everton player-swap deal

Manchester United are looking to use defender Jonny Evans to make Seamus Coleman’s move to Old Trafford more appealing.

United boss Louis van Gaal will hope to sign the Everton full-back after missing out on Dani Alves and Nathaniel Clyne this year.

The Merseyside club have said however that the Ireland international is not for sale and the Red Devils would be wasting their time by pursuing the player.

United Pursue Coleman

However United have not been fazed and Van Gaal is still hopeful that offering Evans plus cash will lead the Toffees to changing their mind.

According to reports, United have already launched a formal bid for Coleman but have been turned away by Roberto Martinez who is desperate to keep hold of his star right-back.

Evans is in his final 12 months at Old Trafford and could become surplus to requirements if Sergio Ramos ends up signing for the Red Devils.
