The semi-finalists’ ties have been confirmed

On Monday night Crystal Palace were drawn against Watford, while Everton face either Manchester United or West Ham.

Crystal Palace v Watford

The last time these two sides met, Watford came out on top in a seven-goal thriller – winning 4-3. Palace and the Hornets have met six times in the competition, with Watford having won three, to Palace’s one victory.

However, they have a win apiece in the Premier League this campaign – with both sides winning the away fixture – and now meet in the semi-final after victories over Reading and Arsenal for Palace and Watford respectively.

Crystal Palace’s league form has slipped of late, following an impressive first half of the campaign for Alan Pardew’s men. While Watford have diminished their tag as relegation candidates, already securing their Premier League status for next campaign.

It is a rare opportunity for both sides to reach an FA Cup final, and with Manchester United the last big side remaining in the competition, they will both fancy their chances of winning the competition.

Everton v Manchester United/ West Ham United

Everton will really fancy their chances after eliminating Chelsea from the competition, following two goals from former Blues striker Romelu Lukaku.

The Toffees face the toughest opposition in either Manchester United, or an in-form West Ham side that is aiming for a place in the Champions League.

West Ham knocked out Everton in the third round of the FA Cup last campaign, after a 1-1 draw at Goodison Park and 2-2 draw at Upton Park, the Hammers ‘eventually’ got through with a 9-8 penalty win.

Meanwhile, there was better fortune for the Toffees when it comes to penalties, when they last met Manchester United. After a goalless 90 minutes and extra-time, Everton secured their place in the FA Cup final in the 2008/09 season, to face Chelsea, sending United out of the competition.
