Delph and other Villa players maybe available for the next game. The midfielder missed the 2-0 win over Cardiff because of an injury obtained during training and he also missed the 0-0 draw against West Ham due to a sickness bug.

Paul Lambert said: “He hurt his knee. I think he’ll be okay for the West Brom game. I think we’ve caught the international break at the right time.”

“It’s a big, big ask. I knew we had to try and get through this one. Thankfully we seem to have done it with a win. If we get three or four of them back for the West Brom game then good.”

Luna & Weimann are aiming to be back in time for the next game however Agbonlahor will be out for much longer. Gary Gardner maybe available aswell but Joe Bennett, Jores Okore & Charles N’zogbia will be out for longer. Unfortunately for the birmingham side just recently they have Ciaran Clark ruled out aswell.

Despite all of the injuries Lambert’s side are in a comfortable position at the moment.

Paul Lambert said: “When you look at the side we put out we’ve got a lot of injuries. We’ve got nearly half a team out. You know things are really bare when you’re putting two young kids (Daniel Johnson and Callum Robinson) on the bench.”
