Cesc Fabregas could be back in the Chelsea line up for Wednesday nights clash with Everton.
Having suffered a knock in the Capitol One Cup clash against Liverpool, Fabregas subsequently missed the draw with Manchester City and the narrow 2-1 victory over Aston villa at the weekend.
Chelsea boss, Jose Mourinho has admitted that he was not willing to risk Fabregas against Villa, especially as he had ample cover with Ramires in such good form of late.
Mourinho stated: ‘I think Fabregas plays Wednesday because on Saturday it was a decision to protect him.’
‘We didn’t want to risk two players at the same time.
‘We risked with Willian and to start two players with a risk is a big gamble and we gambled with only one.’
It’s not normally like Jose to take any risks at all with his players, so his comments are a little surprising, but if we look at the Premier League table…..I guess he knows best.
