Lazio midfielder accepted personal terms with Premier League side

Manchester United had agreed personal terms with Lazio midfielder Felipe Anderson over the summer, according to reports.

The Brazilian was strongly linked with a move away from the Serie A club over the summer, with United the likely destination, and it has now emerged that a deal was in place.

Anderson agreed a contract with the Premier League side worth ÂŁ3.2million-a-year.

Deal Collapsed

However, the 22-year-old’s proposed move to Old Trafford fell through when the Italian outfit rejected United’s ÂŁ28million offer.

Despite agreeing a deal with United, Anderson then signed a new deal at Lazio with a release clause worth ÂŁ56m.

After Lazio played hard-ball with the English outfit, Anderson missed out on a pay-rise as he could have seen himself earn around ÂŁ60k-a-week at United.
