The Belgian got stewards’ attention after a woman was found in trouble

Marouane Fellaini abandoned Manchester United’s celebrations after Marcus Rashford’s late winner against Hull City, in order to help a woman who was being crushed.

The 18-year-old netted in the second minute of added time to take all three points back to Old Trafford, as Jose Mourinho’s perfect start as United boss continued.

However, it appeared that Red Devils’ fans celebrations went a little too far, as Fellaini was spotted not joining in with his teammate’s celebrations in front of the travelling fans, in order to help a woman who appeared in trouble.

Fans surged forward to get closer to the United players, who came right up to the visiting fans, however, it caused one woman to be forced against the advertising hoardings around the pitch’s perimeter, while other fans spilled onto the playing surface.

Fellaini, who doesn’t boast the greatest of reputations on the pitch, certainly made a hero of himself on Saturday, as stewards managed to protect her from the masses of fans who surged forward.

The win means United are joint first with Chelsea, on nine points, while rivals Manchester City could go top with a win at home to West Ham on Sunday afternoon.
