With his 3rd goal in 4 appearances this season, dos Santos scored the equalizer in the 70th minute, 2-2, as the also game ended.
The Mexican International was hot property on the market this summer after excellent performances with Mallorca last season. Plenty of teams like Valencia, Atletico Madrid, LA Galaxy and Real Betis all wanted to snap him up but Villareal got their man.
Both of the former Tottenham players were substituted in the second half.
