Fulham look to tempt Liverpool into Carroll swap deal

The troubled Anfield career of Andy Carroll could be set to come to an end this summer as Fulham have been voicing their interest in the big England forward.

Liverpool’s interest in American striker Clint Dempsey has been no secret in the last year, as they look for a 20 plus goals a season player in their quest to get back in to the top four. Since his record breaking move to merseyside, Carroll has netted only six times for the Anfield club, as compared to Dempsey’s 23 goals last season for Fulham in all competitions.

Carroll has also attracted interest from other clubs, including Italian giants AC Milan, after they sold star striker Zlatan Imbrahimovic to Paris Saint Germain this week.

It is no secret that new Liverpool manager Bredan Rodgers has a firm plan in place for the way he wants the club to play, which apparently would not suit the way in which Carroll plays the game. And with new signing Fabio Borini coming to the club for a reported ÂŁ10 million, “Big Andy” could be on his way out after a year and a half at the club.
