Premier League predictions – week 36
It’s getting near the end of the Premier League 2014/2015 season and every point is vital for several teams fighting for Europe and fighting for survival.
With seven games on the Saturday, two on the Sunday and one on the Monday evening, it’s another hectic schedule for the Premier League with games all throughout the weekend.
Hull City could be the team to finally relegate Burnley if they pick up a vital three point at the KC Stadium, whilst Newcastle United will want to end their eight game losing streak against West Bromwich Albion.
Sunderland have a tricky trip to Goodison Park, whilst Queens Park Rangers could go down with a loss at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
Recently crowned champions Chelsea host Liverpool, whilst Arsenal and Swansea City end the schedule on Monday night at the Emirates Stadium.

Premier League Saturday Predictions
Everton vs Sunderland Prediction
Alex Says: Everton have found a good bit of form in recent weeks, despite their 3-2 defeat to Aston Villa last weekend. However, against lowly-Sunderland, I am backing them to bounce back in style. The Black Cats will be boosted after their 2-1 win against Southampton, but I can’t see them getting anything here. Match Prediction: 4-0
Connor Says: Everton have been playing quite well recently and were unlucky to not get a result against Aston Villa at the weekend. Sunderland on the other hand have been playing a lot better under Dick Advocaat, but I think that they’ll fall at this hurdle due to Everton’s home advantage which really showed when the Toffees played Man United. Match prediction: 2-1
Aston Villa vs West Ham Prediction
Alex Says: Aston Villa continue to crawl their way out of the relegation scrap and I think they will pick up another vital three points here this weekend. West Ham have had nothing to play for for sometime now and they won’t be putting full effort into this game. Match Prediction: 2-0
Connor Says: Under Tim Sherwood Villa have been completely transformed and Benteke has rediscovered his goal scoring form in the last few games. In contrast to this, the Hammers have been struggling to get goals but Villa’s leaky defence could help them gain confidence again. Match prediction: 3-2
Hull vs Burnley Prediction
Alex Says: A massive game at the bottom and a game Burnley HAVE to win for any chance of survival. However, despite Hull’s 3-1 loss to Arsenal on Monday night, I reckon they will pick up another big three points for themselves. Match Prediction: 1-0
Connor Says: Both sides are involved in a relegation scrap. Hull have been showing signs of improvement and Burnley can’t buy a goal at the moment. Six games without a goal is too long so I think they are due one in a tightly contested game. Match prediction: 1-1
Leicester vs Southampton Prediction
Alex Says: Leicester are really performing the great escape and have a real chance of survival after recent weeks. Southampton are all-but out of the top-four race but will still want to end the season strongly. Score-draw here for me. Match Prediction: 2-2
Connor Says: Leicester have turned their season on its head. They’ve picked up five wins out of six and have been quite dangerous to their opposition. Southampton have looked a little dis-organised and were maybe a little unfortunate to lose to Sunderland through 2 penalties. Match prediction: 2-2
Newcastle United vs West Bromwich Albion
Alex Says: A real tough game to predict. Newcastle’s form has been atrocious, whilst West Brom are safe so have nothing to really play for. Sitting on the fence and saying draw. Match Prediction: 1-1
Connor Says: Newcastle have been dreadful and the players are not looking bothered about their form. WBA have been stuttering through the season but I think that win against Manchester United will give them the confidence to get another away win. Match prediction: 1-2
Stoke vs Tottenham Hotspur Prediction
Alex Says: Stoke are safe and Spurs won’t get top-four so it’s another tough game to predict. However, I am going for a home win here due to how tough Mark Hughes’ side are to beat at the Britannia Stadium. Match Prediction: 2-1
Connor Says: Stoke were poor last time out against Swansea and to get a top 10 finish I think they need to win this game. Spurs could be thinking that Champions League qualification is impossible now so that could demotivate them for this game. I think Stoke will bully them out of it. Match Prediction: 2-1
Crystal Palace vs Manchester United Prediction
Alex Says: Usually a really tough place to go and win, but with safety ensured Palace have lost a few games here in recent weeks. Manchester United have a battle on their hands to see where they could finish and they could actually still miss out on top-four. However, I reckon they’ll get a vital three points here. Match Prediction: 1-2
Connor Says: Selhurst Park is always a tough place to travel to and United will be fearful of that. Both sides have lost three on the bounce which makes this game crucial for the pair of them, but when have we ever seen United lose four in a row? Match Prediction: 0-2
Premier League Sunday Predictions
Manchester City vs Queens Park Rangers
Alex Says: It could be doomsday for Queens Park Rangers and what a tough game to have when you need a win. City haven’t been great recently, but I can’t see anything but a home win. Match Prediction: 3-0
Connor Says: City will want to end their season respectfully and edge Arsenal out of second place. QPR desperately need points but I can’t see them getting anything with the form they’re in. Match Prediction: 3-0
Chelsea vs Liverpool Prediction
Alex Says: Recently crowned champions, but when it’s a rival up against you, you simply don’t take your foot off the gas. Jose Mourinho’s side to pick up another win against Liverpool. Match Prediction: 2-0
Connor Says: Chelsea have already won the league but will want to get 90 points at the end of the season, but some players could get lazy now. Liverpool need the points to push United for the final Champions League spot but have not been taking their chances which could let them down. Match Prediction: 1-1
Premier League Monday Predictions
Arsenal vs Swansea City Prediction
Alex Says: Arsenal have been simply stunning in recent weeks and I expect them to continue their form here tonight. Swansea have a good record against The Gunners, but this season’s Arsenal should have enough to beat Gary Monk’s men. Match Prediction: 2-0
Connor Says: Arsenal played some quality football against Hull on Monday but I think Swansea can match the Gunners’ style of play in this contest. Arsenal will want to push for second place while Swansea have already got their highest points tally ever in the Premier League. I think Arsenal will want the points more. Match Prediction: 2-1
