The Sky Sports pundit says the Blues players need to sort themselves out

The former Manchester United player was speaking after the Blues lost 2-1 against Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge.

Jose Mourinho marked his 100th game in charge with a defeat – only the second at home since he became manager for a second time.

The Portugese coach has acknowledged his side’s poor start to the season and is thought to be unhappy with the club’s failure to land his no.1 target (John Stones).

However, Neville has said it’s not good enough for the team to rest on their laurels just because they won the title last season.

“I said it before but they need to give themselves a slap round the face, Mourinho needs to sort them out” said Neville.

Everton backtrack on Stones offer

The Toffees reportedly told Chelsea they would sell the England international for ÂŁ34million but changed their mind at the last second.

Barnsley stand to make several million pounds if the Merseyside club sell Stones in line the sell-on clause in his contract.

The Tykes were reportedly offered ÂŁ2.5million by Everton to forfeit the sell-on clause but they rejected in the hope the move still happens and they get the 5% they deserve.

Monaco’s Aymen Abdennour was being suggested as a possible alternative but the Tunisia international has joined Valencia for a reported £22million.
