Gary Neville’s message to Chelsea fans about Antonio Conte

Gary Neville has said Antonio Conte should not be angry about Chelsea’s failure to sign Romelu Lukaku this summer.

Manchester United have confirmed that they have agreed a fee with Everton to bring Lukaku to Old Trafford this summer.

The Belgian was rumoured to be one of Chelsea’s top targets this summer, however, it seems that the Stamford Bridge outfit will now have to look elsewhere to bolster their striking options.

However, former Manchester United striker Neville feels that Conte should not be annoyed about Chelsea’s failure to land Lukaku because the Blues should have had multiple striker targets this summer.

Neville tweeted on Saturday morning: “Why would he [Conte] throw his toys out of the pram over a player choice? Maybe he shouldn’t have text Costa till the Lukaku deal was done.

“No coach or club should ever have their eggs in one basket. If Madrid, Barca, United, Bayern, City come in then you may always lose him!”

who are you to give advice to Don Conte.? What coaching experience have you under your belt? Even as a pundit you made a mess. And what if this was purposely done! Just lets all wait till the end and we’ll see who’s done the best deals
