It has been reported that Bayern were looking at bringing in a new defender with Luiz top of their wanted list, but Guardiola insists there is no truth to rumours linking the Champions League winners with the Brazilian.
“He’s not coming to Munich,” he said. “We’ve got four or five central defenders.
“There is no truth to the speculation.”
Rumours about Luiz surfaced despite the club’s CEO, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge suggesting that the Bundesliga champions were done spending for the summer.
“We have two players for every position – this is our squad for next season,” Rummenigge told Sport Bild.
