Thorgan Hazard names two players Chelsea should regret losing

Over the past year, Chelsea’s youth policy has come in for some strong criticism

Chelsea have a total of 38 players out on loan, and Thorgan Hazard having experienced it all gave his thoughts on the situation

Despite spending three years with the west London club between 2012 and 2015, Thorgan never made an appearance for the Blues.

Speaking with newspaper Nieuwsblad in his native Belgium, he explained

About himself he said: “I knew I would not stay at Chelsea. It was a great opportunity, but I knew I needed regular playing time.”

ANY REGRETS?

Hazard went on to speak about his former Chelsea colleagues:

“Chelsea like to buy youngsters and then slowly get them ready. De Bruyne, Musonda, Lukaku all went on loan,” he added.

“Maybe Chelsea now regret their decision not to give De Bruyne and Lukaku more chances, I don’t know.

“Of course it helped that Chelsea also signed Eden, but it is not like they just sign every player’s brother.

“They signed me because I showed potential. They had to pay Lens a fee to get me. And they were right.”
