Holtby set for Hamburg

Lewis Holby is set to leave Tottenham Hotspur for German club Hamburg, and is in Germany for a medical, according to Goal.com.

The year long loan switch to the Bundesliga is likely to start a chain reaction of departures at Tottenham, with Holtby set to move back to Germany, after two years at the North London club.

The midfielder isn’t in the plans of Mauricio Pochettino, who is looking for a permanent move for the player once the loan expires.

Holtby was sent out on loan to fellow London club Fulham in January, but couldn’t prevent their relegation to the Chamionship.

Any possible move comes after Hamburg captain Rafael Van Der Vaart looks set to leave the Bundesliga side, with Queens Park Rangers, and Turkish sides Galatasaray and Besiktas both keen.

The 23 year old Holtby has already agreed personal terms with Hamburg, ahead of the move.
