Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed that the midfielder could still make the world cup in Brazil. Whilshere suffered a hairline fracture when playing a friendly against Denmark earlier this year but his recovery is ahead of schedule.

‘Jack Wilshere needs more time. I don’t know exactly how long, he works very hard on his rehab and it is a fractured bone so you cannot accelerate that process. But yes, for the World Cup certainly (he will be back).’ The 22 year olds rehabilitation programme is working wonders and looks set to play again before the end of the season. However despite this, the Arsenal medical team are proceeding with extreme caution as Wilshere has had a long string of injuries in the past. The earliest he could return is April 28th where they face Newcastle and this is great news for Arsenal as the sqaud has lost key players due to injuries in recent weeks.

Another boost for Arsenal fans is that Ramsey could potentially return to training by the end of next week, which means he could be fit for their vital FA cup semi-final against Wigan on April 12th.  The midfielder has been ruled out since Boxing Day but Wenger has said: “Ramsey is progressing well. We must be patient for a few more weeks.”
