The 24-year-old Nigeria international, who is currently out with an Achilles injury, has scored nine goals in 31 league appearances since joining the Tigers from Rangers in July 2012.

The former Aberdeen player’s contract was set to expire at the end of the season.

“I’m happy to be extending my stay here and I was always hopeful it would get sorted,” he told the club website.

“I haven’t let the contract talks distract me, my priority is getting out on the pitch.

“I believe that when I come back I’ll hit the ground running and get back on the form I was on before I got injured.

“The lads have done unbelievably while I’ve been watching on so that has softened the blow of not playing.”
