Pep Guardiola said he had “no complaints” after Manchester City were held to a goalless draw by Huddersfield in their FA Cup fifth-round clash on Saturday.

Manchester City boss Guardiola claims he has “no complaints” with his sides goalless draw with Huddersfield, stressing that he believes Huddersfield are one of the best teams in the Championship and that their performance justified the result.

“No it wasn’t frustrating, I think that adjective is so tough.

“It was a cup game against one of the best teams in the Championship and we know how difficult it is to play teams in the Championship away, in this stadium where a rugby game was played two days ago.

“They are a really, really good team but we put in a good performance, especially in the first half when we created many chances to score a goal and the goalkeeper was brilliant. In the second half we maybe played a bit better but didn’t create too many chances.”

“When you play against teams in the Championship who are at the top of the league, it’s always difficult,” said Guardiola. “They had good spirit but the players did absolutely everything and when that happens I have no complaints.”

He also added the injury to Vincent Kompany that saw him miss the game is not serious.

“I think it was not a big issue but he was not able to play today,” he said.

With Huddersfield earning a replay against the Citizens at the Etihad, they will be hopeful of pulling of a shock result, but with Manchester City at home against a Championship side, many will still have them as favorites to move on in the FA Cup.
