Mark Hughes adamant Stoke City won’t sell goalkeeper

Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has issued a hands-off warning to Liverpool regarding their £20million interest in goalkeeper Jack Butland.

The shot-stopper has been in fine form recently, becoming one of the top Premier League goalkeepers, and his performances have caught the eye of potential suitors, with Liverpool being one of them.

Butland has waited for his time to shine at the Britannia Stadium, but following Asmir Begovic‘s summer move to Chelsea, Hughes finally made the 22-year-old his number-one.

Not for Sale

The Englishman has repaid the manager with fine performances so far this season, and Hughes is adamant that he’s not for sale no matter what the price.

He said: “He’s not going anywhere. People are aware of him and have been for a long time. I wouldn’t even place a value on him.”

Jurgen Klopp is believed to be in the market for a new goalkeeper as he continues to doubt Simon Mignolet as his long-term number-one.
