Striker admits he’s waiting for Arsenal to make offer
Porto’s Colombian striker Jackson Martinez has said that he is waiting for Arsenal to invoke the £25m release clause in his contract.
The skipper has stated that he is on his way out of Portugal, and is considering his options.
Although reports indicate that AC Milan are the favourites to sign, Martinez says that he would consider a move to North London and the Gunners.
Martinez Waiting for Offer
Martinez, on Copa America duty this summer, said: “It’s a big club in one of the best leagues in the world. We have to see if an offer will become a reality or not.
“The day we’ll know where my future goes is near. I still haven’t decided, as I’m focused on the Copa America right now.
“Every footballer dreams of enjoying football. If that’s in England, Italy or Spain, the important thing is that it feels good.”
Martinez is named Cha Cha Cha for his dance moves on the pitch, and has been Porto‘s top scorer for each of the last three seasons.
