Liverpool have not made an approach for AC Milan forward Jeremy Menez, confirms his agent.
Television and newspaper reports in Italy last week claimed that the Merseyside club had entered negotiations with the Italian giants over a potential £10.5million transfer deal for the France international.
Reds manager Brendan Rodgers is desperate to sign a versatile forward ahead of the new Premier League season, after winger Raheem Sterling left the club to join rivals Manchester City.
However, the 28-year-old’s agent has silenced the speculation surrounding the move and he says that Menez will further his stay at the San Siro beyond this summer and into the 2015/16 season.
On the reports about Menez moving to Anfield, his brother and agent, told MilanNews: “An offer from Liverpool?
“We’ve had no contact with the Reds, Menez will definitely stay at Milan.” he added.
The former Roma and Paris Saint-Germain star impressed at the Serie A side last campaign, with him scoring 16 goals in his first season with the club.
