Liverpool legend John Barnes thinks Philippe Coutinho could leave Liverpool and join Barcelona.
Spanish giants FC Barcelona are interested in the Brazilian midfielder with the player’s agent thought to have recently met up with Barcelona representatives for talks over a potential transfer.
The Liverpool star has 1 goal and 2 assists so far this season but despite Klopp seeing him as a big part of his plans, Barnes doesn’t know if Coutinho will stay.
Barnes wrote on Titanbet.co.uk “While much of the talk has been about Klopp coming in, there is a little bit of speculation surrounding Philippe Coutinho.”
“Can Klopp keep him at the club? I think the issue is bigger than the manager, with the ambitions of the player always the vital factor.”
“Coutinho is a fantastic footballer, but if he wants to go I won’t be hugely disappointed. It’s his decision.”
