Lorient accept £12million offer for the Ghanaian
Aston Villa have moved quickly to replace Christian Benteke after having a £12 million bid accepted for Jordan Ayew on Friday morning.
The former-Marseille forward is currently plying his trade with Lorient in Ligue 1, and netted 12 goals in 29 appearances for his side last season.
Money to Spend
This form attracted the interest of Villa boss Tim Sherwood, who now has a big transfer kitty at his disposal following the £32.5 million transfer of Benteke to Liverpool earlier this week.
Should the move be completed, it will be Villa’s third signing from France’s top division this week, following the signings of midfielder Idrissa Gueye from Lille and Nice left-back Jordan Amavi.
