Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho, has confirmed that the club won’t be active in the January transfer window.
The Blues advanced to the semi-finals of the Capital One Cup last night after seeing off Derby County in a 3-1 victory, and after the game, Mourinho confirmed that there are no plans for the club to spend or sell in the New Year.
Mourinho stated that the club have the perfect squad and are not in need to strengthen in any area, and with his side top of the Premier League, it’s hard to disagree.
When asked about potentially signing in January, Mourinho said: “No.
“We have a short squad but we’ve got good players, some younger, some older, but the squad is very, very good.
“Our project is to start and finish the season with the same group of players, so there will be nobody to leave and nobody to come in either.”
