Chelsea boss admits top-teams will want Leicester City striker
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has dropped a massive hint that he could make a move for Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy.
The Foxes front-man is currently the Premier League top goalscorer following his record-breaking run of scoring in 11 consecutive games.
The run of 11 games scoring has taken Vardy‘s tally to 14 for the season, and speaking ahead of his trip to the King Power Stadium, Mourinho admitted that big teams will want to sign the England international.
Mourinho Drops Hint
‘He is top scorer and it is normal big clubs want him,’ he said.
‘It is a beautiful story and his record is historic.’
Chelsea are really lacking in the striker department, with Radamel Falcao and Loic Remy failing to impress, and questions over Diego Costa‘s long-term future.
Vardy is being eyed up as a potential signing in January, while the likes of Antoine Griezmann and Gonzalo Higuain have been mentioned for the summer.
Leicester value Vardy at around £25million.
