Manchester United set to make Mourinho the highest paid manager

Manchester United are prepared to make Jose Mourinho the highest paid manager in world football.

The Red Devils are heavily tipped to announce him as their next manager at the end of the season, replacing current boss Louis van Gaal, who’s under real pressure from the fans due to poor results and boring performances.

According to numerous reports, the deal is already in place for Mourinho to come in over the summer, and the former-Chelsea boss has already told close friends he’s got the job.

As well as that, Mourinho has already had transfer discussions with Ed Woodward and is already wanting to sell two current first-team players from the squad.

Highest Paid Manager

According to reports, United officials are ready to offer Mourinho £15.5m-a-year, which is £500,000 more than what Manchester City are paying Pep Guardiola.

If these reports are correct, it would mean Mourinho would earn himself a nice £323k-a-week, making him the world’s most expensive manager.

It’s believed Jorge Mendes, Mourinho’s agent, is working on the contract with United officials, and it’s expected to be a three-year deal for the ex-Chelsea boss.
