The two had a frosty relationship during their times together at Real Madrid

FC Porto goalkeeper Iker Casillas has revealed what happened when he bumped into Jose Mourinho after his side beat Chelsea 2-1 last night in the Champions League.

Building up to the game, a lot of the coverage was about Mourinho‘s home-coming to Porto, the club he guided to Champions League glory over a decade ago, but a side-story was Casillas coming up against the Portuguese.

The two endured a frosty relationship during their time working together at the Bernabeu, and it was Mourinho who dropped the veteran from Real Madrid‘s first-team.

Casillas and Mourinho didn’t see eye-to-eye during their time together, and despite the fall-out in Spain, Casillas has revealed the duo exchanged pleasantries at the Estadio do Dragao.

“I bumped into Mourinho and I shook his hand,” Casillas said.

“‘See you in London… all the best,’ he said to me.”

The veteran then continued and admitted he’d love to face his former-club in the last-16.

“I would love to play against Real Madrid in the round of 16,” Casillas added.

“I hope that everything goes well for them and they win both trophies in Spain.”
