Julio Cesar available for FREE!

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has alerted Premier League duo Arsenal and Manchester City by revealing that goalkeeper Julio Cesar is available for free.

The Brazilian goalkeeper is desperate to leave Loftus Road due to their relegation from the Premier League to the Championship last season, but unfortunately for him, no formal bids were made in the Summer.

However, in a recent interview, Redknapp revealed that they don’t want to keep a player who is not happy and he has even stated that the club will let him leave on a free-transfer, mainly so that they can free up their hefty wage-bill, which is close to getting them a whopping £60million fine for over-spending.

‘He needs to play and I feel he’s a player who could play for any team in the world,’ said Redknapp.

‘We won’t stand in his way. We’ll let him go for free.’

Arsenal were close to signed Cesar for £2million in the Summer, but his wage was too high and the deal fell through.

Arsene Wenger is desperate to land a back-up striker to give Wojciech Szczeny some competition and despite loaning-in Emiliano Viviano on transfer deadline day, the Italian is yet to play for The Gunners.

Wenger will face some serious competition to sign Cesar though as Manchester City have expressed their interest in recent weeks, as they too search for competition for their current number-one, Joe Hart.
