Jonas Hector is high on German’s wishlist

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is keen to replace Alberto Moreno as the club’s left-back and is reportedly monitoring Jonas Hector.

Klopp has been spotted on several occasions blasting Moreno for his performances at left-back, and he isn’t the only one.

Liverpool legend Jon Aldridge blasted the Spaniard for his defensive displays and ability at the back, claiming he’s good going forward, but leaves the club wide open at the back.

Aldridge Blasts Moreno

“Moreno can look good going forward at times, but positionally he leaves us wide open,” he said.

“He doesn’t read when to bomb forward and when to sit, and he’s so rash in his decision-making.”

Potential Replacement

Despite only being 23-years-old, Klopp is ready to replace the left-back and will turn to FC Koln‘s defender.

The 25-year-old has been with the Bundesliga outfit since 2012, making 110 league appearances, and Klopp is believed to be a huge admirer of the full-back.

According to reports in Germany, Liverpool have been scouting Hector and could launch a formal bid in the summer worth around ÂŁ6million.

He would be the second defender to swap the Bundesliga for Liverpool, with Joel Matip already agreeing a transfer from Schalke.
