Jack Butland and Fraser Forster are the two options

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is eyeing a new goalkeeper for the club and is keen on signing one already playing in the Premier League.

The German manager has been heavily linked with signing a new goalkeeper since arriving at Anfield late last year, but most reports suggested he’d use his knowledge of the Bundesliga to sign one.

However, reports have emerged today that Klopp is ready to bring in a ‘keeper who is already familiar with the Premier League.

Questions have been asked about Simon Mignolet all season, and despite the club offering him a new five-year deal, he could still be replaced in the summer.

Adam Bogdan is also heavily linked with a move away, as Klopp doesn’t deem him suitable competition for the Belgian, and the manager is ready to bring in a new shot-stopper in order to help bring out the best in Mignolet.

Premier League Duo Targeted

According to reports, Southampton‘s Fraser Forster and Stoke City‘s Jack Butland are the two on Klopp’s radar.

Forster has recently returned from a serious injury for the Saints but has immediately shown his abilities by keeping several clean-sheets since his return, whilst Butland is having a stand-out season for Mark Hughes‘ side.

Both are English and both are fighting to displace Joe Hart as England’s number-one, and a move to Liverpool could help enhance their career.
