Liverpool manager says there is nothing stopping him from raiding former-club

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has dropped a massive hint that he could be set to raid Borussia Dortmund after confirming there is no agreement in place with his former-club.

Klopp left the Bundesliga side at the end of last season, and despite claiming he’d take a year-long break away from the game, he’s returned in a matter of months after the Liverpool job became available.

Brendan Rodgers was sacked and Klopp was brought in.

Straight after the appointment, reports spread that Klopp would raid his former-club for players, the likes of Marco Reus, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Mats Hummels, to which the Bundesliga‘s board stated he wouldn’t do because of the love he has for the club.

However, Klopp has admitted that there is no agreement in place between him and his former-club regarding transfers.

Klopp Hints at Transfers

He said: “There is no agreement with Borussia Dortmund. I heard as well that there was one – these sort of things are always written at the time but, no it’s not true.”

“I have a good relationship with Borussia Dortmund and a good relationship with all the players there – there is nothing negative between us.” Klopp added.

“So there could be a possibility – if we need a player then we could try. At this moment there is nothing to talk about.

“But there is no agreement that we can’t do business with Dortmund. There’s also no agreement that we can’t sell players to Dortmund!”
