Liverpool boss wanted to become a doctor
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed his dream profession – a doctor.
The German eventually ended up in management and is now boss at Anfield, but speaking in a recent interview, he’s admitted that his childhood dream was to become a doctor.
Klopp has enjoyed his career in management, with a successful spell with Borussia Dortmund before joining Liverpool earlier this season.
He picked up his finest win this weekend when he overlooked a 4-1 win against Manchester City in the Etihad Stadium, but all could have been different.
Dream Job
When asked about his childhood dream job, Klopp said:Â “A doctor, originally. I think I still might have ‘helper syndrome’ to a certain extent.
“But I’m not going to lie, I don’t think I was ever smart enough for a medical career.
“When they were handing out our A-Level certificates, my headmaster said to me: ‘I hope it works out with football, otherwise it’s not looking too good for you’.”
