Lukas Jutkiewicz has stated his delight following his transfer to Burnley, in an interview with the clubs official website.

Jutkiewicz, agede 25 completed a ÂŁ1.5 million move from Championship side Middlesbrough yesterday following weeks of speculation regarding his signature.

The striker was heavilly linked withh a permanent move to Bolton Wanderers, where he spent the second half of the Championship season on loan, scoring seven goals in 20 games for the Trotters. However he has decided to make the move to the newly promoted Burnley.

Jutkiewicz stated to the official club website that he hopes to settle down quickly, having spent most of his career on the road, either on loan at clubs, or brief stays at both Middlesbrough and Coventry City.

He will join fellow Southampton born striker, Sam Vokes and Danny Ings at Turf Moor.

Jutkiewicz said: “Sam knows exactly what it’s like. I have moved around a fair bit in my career, and it seems like he has found a really good home here.
“Like him I am looking to do the same by settling down and finding a home here

“A couple of days into pre-season I was first made aware that there was a little bit of interest. There were conversations back and forth between the two clubs and a fee was finally agreed on Friday.

“It’s taken up until now to get it over the line but I am delighted to be here now.”

Jutkiewicz is now hoping to find a long term home in the Premier having signed a three year deal at Burnley. He had previously played in the Premier League before, making one appearance for Everton in 2008.

He added: “It’s a massive opportunity for everyone here to go into the Premier League and it’s what every boy dreams of.

“I had a little taste of it at Everton a few years ago, and I’m really excited to have another crack at the best league in the world.

“A lot has changed since then, but the guys here worked so hard last season to get their success and you could tell from the outside how tight a group this was.

“It’s been evident from only being here a few hours. I flew in today because I was keen to get out here to the training camp.

“I’ll be working as hard as I can to get as fit and sharp as possible for the challenges ahead and I am really looking forward to being a part of the squad and trying to help us have a successful season.”
